i don’t often see these paint schemes so when these two engines came by the house i jumped in the car, camera in hand to grab a pic and caught them as they pushed a train into place for the night.
the switchman said they were just two old beater locomotives called out of the house, helping out on a busy day in the yard.
a little research: #1466 is a green & white EMD SD60M called the white face with the large “BN”.
#9740 is an SD70MAC in the Executive paint scheme of Grinstein colors dark green and cream and worked in the early days mainly pulling coal trains out of the Powder River Basin.
